Author Bob Shea Visits with Second Grade

Recently, second graders at Bahrain Elementary were treated to a virtual author/illustrator visit with Bob Shea. Mr. Shea shared his love of drawing and writing and encouraged students to keep things fun and to keep trying when things seem hard. He read one of his books aloud, "Chez Bob" and showed students that when he draws - all of his characters are based on basic shapes. Prior to the visit, students brainstormed questions they wanted to ask him, such as "Which do you like better: writing books or drawing them?", "How do you get your books made?" and "When is your birthday?". Mr. Shea was super fun and engaging with the kids and it was a great learning experience for all.
