School psychologists from across DoWEA Europe recently gathered for a three-day professional learning summit designed to strengthen collaboration and explore emerging research to enhance support for students throughout the region.

Two hundred fifty-one years ago, delegates from thirteen British colonies met in Philadelphia to draft a statement of shared principles and aspirations in what became the First Continental Congress. The debates begun in those meetings eventually led to the creation of the United States and, a decade later, the drafting of the Constitution that continues to guide our democracy today. This summer, 27 student-teacher teams from across the United States and its territories, including a team representing DoWEA Europe, returned to Philadelphia to explore that enduring legacy.
